Plezzure Island 2017 (Year 2)

The only all-Womens resort takeover in Texas
Produced by Wolfpack Productions, LLC, Plezzure Island is a weekend long event for queer women held in South Padre Island, Texas from Thursday through Sunday. The first of its kind in Texas, Plezzure Island offers women the opportunity to attend a multi-day event offered as a compliment or alternative to long-held women’s events on the west and east coast. Located in South Padre Island, there is an easy commute option from several cities and nearby states.

The first annual event featured nationwide talent including stars of the Real L Word, Whitney Mixter, Sada Beddencourt, Rose Garcia, and Hunter Valentine, comedian Lianna Carrera, and stars of The Real L Word Mississipi, Jana Paige Haynes and Dannika Dewhurst. Plezzure Island DJs included top Texas talent such as Stetra, DJ Sno White, DJ Rocabye, DJ Von Kiss (LA), and our headliner DJ Citizen Jane out of Miami. 2017 will feature returning talent and some new faces yet to be released. Weekend events include daily pool parties with DJs, specialty cocktails, and more. Friday night is our legendary sexy PJ party featuring seductive performances and sexy secrets revealed on stage. Saturday night will be a neon glow party and we'll close out the weekend with a Sunday Funday game day.

Plezzure Island was born out of a collaboration between Lesbutante and The Boss and their three best friends, Gabby Ayala, Ashley Marshall, and Chelsea Tucker. Together, they created Wolfpack Productions, LLC. Wolfpack Productions continues the work Lesbutante and The Boss have started with their monthly ladies nights and additional queer women’s events. Plezzure Island was created in an effort to expand the community and offer a multi-day event for queer women and allies. In a recent Huffington Post article by Anita Dolce Vita (editor in chief/owner of DapperQ), Co-Founders, Lesbutante and The Boss recounted the motivation for starting the business:
“As we watched the last of the lesbian bars close in this city, we knew we had to do something. It wasn’t about the money; it was about the community and securing a space for queer women. We made the decision when we started this business that our monthly events would always be free, ensuring that everyone always has access to them, and as a way to serve our LGBTQ community.”
